Today I met up with some Mum friends, my best friends, for some brunch. WITHOUT THE TODDLERS! Just us. Some time that was all about us. Not us trying to catch up while the kids run around shouting, fighting, needing a wee. Our time.
That’s super important to me. To spend quality time with my mum friends, time that doesn’t revolve around the kids. Don’t get me wrong I love hanging out with them with the kids too, we have those days <3 we love that our kids can be friends and force them together whenever we can. But on the rare occasion that we get together it’s such a nice time to reminisce on our life together before the littles, because we’ve known each other for over 20 years now!
Anyway I digress…we went for brunch and MY GOD it was the best brunch of life. The French toast..ugh! Just writing this I’m thinking about it and my mouth is watering. I need to go back there right now. The French toast was soft but crispy, fluffy but filling, juicy and sweet. Every bite created this intense flavour of sweet and savoury. The French toast with a hint of cinnamon was paired perfectly with a smooth vanilla ice cream and divine, melt in the mouth, chocolate. Honestly if you ever get a chance to pop into London, get this in your belly! At Christopher’s (I would choose this over any of the savoury meals, skip the savoury and go straight for the French toast in my opinion).
